1) Your SB is a large screen - so think big, remember it works just like a touchscreen for your computer.
2) All SB/IWBs work in layers. This means you can drag objects around and hide and reveal.
3) Attention focusers. Using tools such as spotlight and blind allow you to focus attention and begin great discussions.
4) Capturing tools. Have an explore at the screen capture and camera tools. Use them to capture evidence.
5) Resource library. Every piece of IWB software has a resource library and it pays to know your way around it.
6) Self Assessment tools. Some whiteboard software comes with self assessment tools but remember that when developing good historical thinking and deduction recalling one answer is not always the nest option.
7) Other software. Remember all other software works on your SB so have a go at using google earth (ancient rome is great) and software such as inspiration to assist in your lessons.
8) Multimedia. Utilise the speakers and video capabilities, remember that you can annotate over video and capture sound.
