Online Tools:
This is a great tool for elementary math teachers. It allows the students to input data they have collected on any particular topic and then it creates different graphs based on their data.
This is another great site for math teachers and for students. It includes lesson plans, and on-line activities for students.
Digital Storytelling Resources:
Digistories is a site hosted by Bernajean Porter, a pioneer and advocate of digital storytelling. It lists tools to use to create digital stories, hosts a storykeepers' gallery, and explains the philosophy behind the use of digital storytelling. The creator holds a multiday workshop on the art of digital storytelling each year and information can be found on the site.
This blog was created by a technology teacher, Tom, who is passionate about digital storytelling, as well as all types of technology integrated within the classroom. He provides links and examples to many of his ideas, which allow you to explore as well. It is great to read about his successes, failures, and frustrations - that keeps the blog refreshing and real.
Jakesonline.org - This website tells teachers how to make digital story telling work in their classroom. It provides links to articles and resources about the process of digital storytelling. There is also a link to images that can be used by students for the digital stories. For those of us who need help getting started, he provides many examples as well as the compenents that should be in a digital story. This site is full of resources and highly recommended!

This also discusses how to look up information on Flickr using Boolean searcher which is how to us and, or, not etc to expand your search for information. ThThis really give a thurough understadning of how to expand those searches for information and how to narrow or expand given searches.
Jakesonline using Flickr for digital storytelling - this is an informational site that gives information for digital storytelling using Flickr. It discusses the use for images and how to use some information that uses creative common licensing. It also gives information on how to load photos or use your microphone for different computers such as mac or pc.
My Furled Bookmarks - This is a site that combines many different digital storytelling websites on one page. Also included are revies of the sites by other members, and comments. This is a great resource, and very organized, a big time saver because many resources are in this one place!
Creating Digital Video for Teaching - a great place for teachers to being to formulate their strateies for incorporating digital storytelling into their classroom. Some files are very large.
